It is the last day on the Mainland! We ate an early breakfast, got our luggage and packed it onto the shuttle. We rode to the airport where we got our boarding passes and went through a long line for the TSA check. The class then met at the gate and received our daily cards that students anonymously wrote. Next, we boarded the plane to California. The flight was roughly five hours. I watched a movie, took a nap, then watched another movie. When we landed, we made our way to the next gate and went out to buy lunch at the airport. I had a grilled cheese sandwich along with Mia and Herenui. After lunch, I went with my dad to a small store to get tissues and snacks for the next plane ride to Kauai. Once we boarded the plane, I fell asleep along with most students in the class. The flight was about another five hours. Sadly, I didn't get to eat the snacks that were bought. Once we landed we said our thanks to all of the chaperones and Mr. M for an awesome STN trip experience. We then made our way to the baggage claim to see our families and luggage. It was nice to see my mom and brother's face after two weeks! Everyone gave their equipment to Mr. M to take back to school and left.
I just wanted to say "Thank you soooooo much to all of the chaperones and Mr. M for taking great care of all of us during this trip! This was definitely a great way to end my last year going to STN! Although most students got sick, you all took great care us and made sure that we were okay. It was tough and took a lot of time from you, but because of you chaperones, we all healed quickly! I'd also like to thank everyone for the support and love during the STN convention! It really helped and allowed us to do well in the competition! If it wasn't for Mr. M, none of this would be possible. Thank you Mr. M, for this opportunity of a lifetime! This year, we were really successful because of your teachings and love for us students. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be the student I am today. You are like a second father to me....to all of us! Thank you all once again! I love you guys!" I hope you enjoyed my blog. Until next time, goodbye! It is the last full day in New York! I'm sorry I didn't decide to vlog! When I woke up in the morning, I noticed that there wasn't much snow on the ground and on the trees. I figured that with the amount of snow that fell the night before, that there would be a lot more snow on buildings/on the ground. Everyone ate breakfast, then headed to the subway station to take the train. We went straight to 81st Street which lead directly to the Museum of Natural History. There were four levels. I was the only girl in our large group of boys. We first went to the dinosaur level. It was really cool to see all of the dinosaur bones and read the information on the type of dinosaur displayed. The group went to another floor where artifacts from hundreds of years ago were displayed. The artifacts were from different parts of the world! We then went to the Earth/space level which displayed different types of rocks, iron, and cool gems. The whole class met up with each other to watch a 3-D video/short movie on the national parks in the United States. It was cool to see how it was formed and to gain information on the parks. We then went to the food court to eat lunch. I ate like a first grader and had dinosaur chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and a juice pouch. After lunch, we headed back down to the subway station and rode to Time Square to go shopping! I went with a group of girls to Aeropostale (my favorite place to shop)! I bought two shirts, then headed to the Disney Store to buy some Tsum Tsums for family/friends. I got Dalson a medium sized Storm Trooper Tsum Tsum for his birthday the next day and Mia got him an R2D2 Tsum Tsum for him as well. Next, we went to American Eagle to meet up with other girls. Lastly, we went to Forever 21 for the other girls in the group. After shopping, we met up with the class and headed to dinner. We took the subway back to the hotel to say our goodbyes and thanks to Uncle Sharai and Uncle Ryan for showing us around New York and taking care of us over the past few days. Aunty Jodi, Mia, and I headed back up to our rooms to pack and sleep. I hope you enjoyed my blog. Until next time, goodbye!
